By far one of the quickest and most pleasant ways to order a pizza. Sign language is used as the only method of communication. Visualizations of how to sign for each item are on the menu with large photos along with a simple rounded dollar amount to reduce information costs.

Sure it only saved a few seconds and it’s not a new idea. Many dinners, ethnic strip mall restaurants, and even In’N’Out have a number system to ease transactions. But this combination of a limited choice set and a low entry barrier communication system is well done.

Mozzeria is pizza joint owned and operated by deaf people. This truck was next to a amplified, not great but earnest, music stage that was interrupted by commuter trains every 20 mins. Neither of those had an impact on pizza production.
